The founder and leader of Bethesda Prayer Camp, Prophet Sampson Archer, has said christmas is idol worship which is not supposed to be celebrated by Christians. According to him, Christmas has no biblical basis, and that Christians celebrate it out of ignorance.
The prophet made these remarks in an interview with resurrection news at the Prayer Camp at Domeabra near Kasoa.
According to the prophet, anything which is celebrated without the will of God is an idol worship, saying the practice will eventually lead to death. The man of God stated that the bible does not mention anywhere in the bible that 25th December is the birthday of Jesus Christ. The prophet said from the time of Adam, no one in the bible has had his or her birthday celebrated.
He made reference to Luke 1:26-27 saying it is not possible Jesus was born in December because calculating nine months from the sixth month of June as the bible declares, Jesus Christ was born in March and not December as Christians turn to believe. He therefore asks all Christian leaders and their followers to learn about the facts surrounding the birth of Jesus Christ in order not to be deceived. He advised them to desist from taking part in that celebration in order to avoid hell.
