For Ghana To Develop And Be A Peaceful Country, We Need To Live Like Our Ancestors Did- Nana Top Kay

Among the four West African countries that were colonized by the British, Ghana was the first country that gained independence. She even helped Guinea to gain independence. Ghana is blessed with many natural resources such as gold, diamond, bauxite, timber among others. She is currently the second producer of Cocoa in the world and the second largest miner of gold in Africa.

High rate of Unemployment, poverty, high child mortality rate, hunger, existence of many ‘fake pastors’ just to mention a few are still a few problems Ghana is still bedeviled with. This among other reasons have compelled Nana Top Kay to break silence.

According to Nana Top Kay, for Ghana to develop, we need to worship the smaller gods and live as our ancestors did which made them lived longer.

‘In the olden days, though there was sin but it wasn’t as today. People loved one another. Today, someone will use the bible or Quran to swear but will be the same person to demand for sex from a female before they employ them. Those same people squander the state’s money. We will go for high loans but at the end of the day, our leaders will use the bigger portion for their own gluttony. The same leaders who used the bible or Quran to swear. Now ask yourself, is Christianity not responsible for all these?’ Nana Top Kay buttressed his assertions.

‘Our pastors will tell us the good things but do otherwise. They will tell us it is advisable to marry one wife. Even though they publicly marry one wife, they have many girlfriends behind the scenes too. There isn’t Christianity in India, China, Pakistan, Japan, and Korea but these countries are more developed than Ghana. Does it also mean the people in these countries will go to hell as the Ghanaian will say? Even the bible says that every country has its own supreme being. It is apparent that Ghana is therefore for the smaller gods. People are now using the bible to commit crimes’, Nana Top Kay added.
