FIFA U-20 WWC: Poor Preparation Cost Us - Yussif Basigi.

Head Coach of the Black Princesses, Yussif Basigi has postulated that his side lost because of a poor preparation the team went through before the campaign.

Ghana lost to France in their opening game by 4-1 in the ongoing FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.

An initial preparation was scheduled for the Princesses in Spain to play friendlies before leaving to France

This is to the fact that the players will get adequate time to prepare, acclimatize to the weather and gain other experiences as far as the tournament is concerned

However, the team couldn't make to Spain due to visa issues and Ghana never played any international friendly going to the tournament in France.

This, Basigi believed were the reasons why his side got thrashed by the host team.

“We didn’t play any friendly international before coming so I knew we were going to face a little bit of difficulty, but not to this extent,”

“It looks like we started very slowly and that didn’t help us at all.” He said.

Ghana's next group game will be against Netherland on Wednesday.

The Princesses will be looking forward to win in the Wednesday clash in order to boost their chance of qualifying to the next stage of the competition.
