Private Legal Practitioner, Maurice Ampaw who is among the thousands of customers whose investments have been locked up at Menzgold believes the Chief Executive Officer of the troubled Gold company has not defrauded anyone in anyway and cannot be blamed for the locked up investment of Menzgold customers.
He indicated that Nana Appiah Mensah is hiding not because he is afraid of going to court but due to unnecessary pressure from Menzgold customers.
“NAM1 is not afraid to go to court because he fears for his life”, he said.
Speaking on Okay FM show, the maverick private legal practitioner and political critic urged government to keep quiet on Menzgold issues if it has nothing in terms of help for the frustrated customers.
He insisted that Menzgold customers did legitimate business with the Company saying it is regrettable that government officials are calling Menzgold customers’ greedy people regrettable.
“Menzgold Customers are not greedy and we can never be greedy. We did a legitimate business with Menzgold. Government is provoking us with their comments as far as Menzgold issue is concerned. Mengzold customers are not telling the government to bail us out with taxpayers’ money. Government officials should shut up if they have nothing to help” Dr Ampaw said.
