I agree you've been into this long enough.
And I know you've come a long way in a short time
Looking for the same true love you hear people talk about.
Though you doubt its existence sometimes.

It's obvious you probably sometimes whisper to yourself, enough is enough.
Just because your last one didn't treat you well enough
Perhaps you now want to show the whole world you could've been strong enough
And you think you can now make it all on your own.
But this your hardened heart isn't making things any easier either.

The regrets are written all over your face.
The broken pieces of you are still yearning for therapy.
Yet this closed heart ain't home welcoming enough, it doesn't notice opportunities and too blind to see true love come its way. Neither are it's arms ready to embrace happiness again.

Every least thing, then you're bored. Every least care you're shown frightens you.
Not because you're scared of falling in love again but because your heart is fragile.
