A classmate lamented her failure to grab an opportunity to learn how to drive, with me yesterday. Apparently, her Dad had enrolled her in a driving school but she was just not serious enough with the process.
Life is like a Mario game. As a human, you are always on the move, whether you like it or not. There are coins (opportunities) as well as enemies (Dangers) along the way. You can slow down or even stop to grab a coin. If you pursue too many coins or stand at the wrong place, you might just get hit by a danger. If you move too slow, time will catch up with you when you have not reached your destination.
If you miss some of the coins, they won’t stop being there, but you cannot go back to pick them up.
Most of the chances you missed in primary or high school are still available to others who are there today. You can only wish you grabbed them and advise those there now to grab them. Such is life.
Opportunities don’t come and go leaving us behind. It is humans who come and go leaving opportunities behind.
Be careful how fast you are running that you don’t miss some of your coins along the way.
