New Year Is Just An Ordinary Day- Razak Writes

My Prolific pen has been into hiding for some time now. I say a big sorry to my avid and staunch readers for the long silence.

Taking a cursory look at the statuses as well as the posts of my friends and followers has made me to weave together words to clarify their doubt from their misconception that new year is a special day.

On their statuses, one common thing I got to know is that New Year is a different thing altogether. In other words, they see New Year as a year they can prosper, turn a new leaf, and be fortunate among others. How funny it is!

The funny thing occurred when I decided to patrol in town last night. On my way, I saw a lot of people, even free thinkers going to church with the aim that they are going to ask for forgiveness and turn a new life. Are you being fair to yourself here?

New Year is just an ordinary day you can think of. It is only the date that changes, and nothing else. Why do you then wait for a new year before you change? Why do you wait for a new year before you forgive others their sins? Why do you wait for a new year before you ask for forgiveness. What if your life was taken last night?

Don’t wait for a new year before you do certain things because time and tide wait for no one and new year is just an ordinary day.
