Head Coach of the Black Stars, Kwesi Appiah has postulated that he need only players who are ready to fight for their jerseys in the Black Stars team.
This comes after the Former Kotoko player called 21 man squad for this weekend clash against Kenya in the AFCON 2019 qualifies.
The squad was without Skipper Asamoah Gyan, the Ayew brothers, Mubarak Wakaso, Jonathan Mensah and other senior players also missing in the squad.
However, the recent call up by Kwesi Appiah also saw the return of the midfield dynamo Kwadwo Asamoah who has not played for the Black Stars since 2014.
"I also believe players must fight for their jerseys; no player is bigger than Ghana. You will bear with me that we don’t have players who bluff the nation due to the fact that we have a lot of gifted players" A statement made by Kwesi Appiah during an interview.
The Black Stars will do the needed preparation in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia before they finally move to Kenyan capital Nairobi where the match will be played
