Short Term Employment Schemes are Waste of National Resources and Human Labor

Over the past two decades, both the NDC and NPP governments have created superficial job modules all in the name of employing citizens. Temporal schemes to addressing critical sectors such as human labor is not a wise and sustainable way of using state resources for economic development and growth.

Working is not an event in one's life, rather it's an integral ability wired in a human by God to dispense one's potential and fulfill purpose.

Working is therefore a human necessity and not a privilege of the few. Decent work which promises a life long career progression is a necessity for all and not a privilege of the affluent. Enough of the adhoc approach to addressing graduate and youth unemployment.
The strength of the youths cannot be wasted in idleness (unemployment) and or in adhoc jobs which eventually renders them underemployed.

For this reason, I entreat graduates and workers to adequately prepare for their career journey with a long term perspective in mind instead of over reliance on government and monetary gains for short term remedies which has proven to be unsustainable in the long run.
