I don't sell anything in my church to pay tax- Prophet Kumchacha

Prophet Kumchacha, the Founder and Leader of Heaven's Gate Ministries had stated that his church will not pay tax.

For him, he doesn't sell anything in church so he doesn't see any need to pay tax to the government.

In an interview on Monday, he said to Andy Dosty,
“We are not selling anything…; I don’t have anything I sell in my church so I can’t pay tax. There is no one-man church; it’s a negative statement [to say one-man church]. Every church is a one-man church since it has a founder…."

He added that, as part of the responsibilities of the church, the church donates items to the less privileged in society.
“We go to the prisons, hospitals and we give orphans food; we just don’t show it on social media…” he concluded.
