Ghana who won the bid in 2016 to host the 2018 African Women's Championship is on the verge of loosing the hosting right to another country because poor infrastructure development.
It was about a month ago when CAF inspection team visited the country for onwards refurbishment of venues and rehabilitation of facilities.
This led to teams using the Cape coast Robert Mensah stadium to have vacated the post as the venue was slated to be one for training
However, it is very unfortunate that after getting the bid 2 years ago, the country was very reluctant to put proper measures in ensuring the tournament is being hosted here.
As it is now, Accra stadium one of the match venues is currently grassless.
Also, work are yet to be done on the training venues. Some work just began on the training pitches whilst others pitches are yet to be visited
CAF will be looking to consider a different options as Ghana is being slow, reluctant and lackadaisical in the rehabilitation of facilities and other infrastructural development.
As it is now, the masses do not know whether the LOC or the Ministery was response for the slow movement of the work.
Is it because it is a Women's tournament ?
