Stand Up

Have you come to realize what happens to a dream when it falls in front of the dogs? You just need to be courageous in order to bear the risk of picking up your dream which will eventually be congratulated but choosing to be a coward at this juncture, for the fear of risk can make you the person you don't desire to be tomorrow. I have tasted it all, what about you?

Looking all around me, I see a lot of pain, poverty, greed, selfishness, fear, anxiety, teenage pregnancy. who will save the masses? Who will bell the cat? Who will stand up for change? The era we live in is an unprecedented one considering the number of teenage pregnancies, school dropouts and infant mortality, yet where do our priorities lie? People see these unperceivable things but what do they do, they turn a blind eye and say my son will not become like this. But that is someone's child, someone's hope, someone's future, has it gotten to this level where we help only flesh and blood? We need to stand up

Listening to my radio set, I realized a whooping rise in teenage pregnancies and I wondered, where have we gone wrong? Is it the culprits, the teenagers or the parents that are at fault? My heart bleeds because the future of this nation is in peril looking at the current circumstances. Basic education which should be free and compulsory is now something that is enjoyed by the elite and elite in the society. Contractors do shoddy work but once his child doesn't sit in that classroom, he doesn't care. This is where we have gotten to, this is where we have reached as a Nation. Where is that solidarity for a brother?
We preach of unity every day but we think once we don't use guns and cutlasses on one another, we are united. No!

What of that child you neglected? What of that child you abused, what of that child that remains hungry all day? We need to stand up!
You and I need to rise up and take charge of these things. We have everything to make that change. Despite the disappointment, despite the setbacks, your ability to bounce back is extremely important. One thing we should always keep in mind in this business is to learn to function in times of dysfunction.

Do not listen to the negative voices because you have a world to change and a lot of people need you at this moment. Teenage pregnancy is dependent on you, school dropout is dependent on you, you've got to make that impact today. Begin today and create that opportunity for someone to be saved.

Create a brighter future for someone today, save a generation today, become a legend in someone's life today.
