Yesterday, on my way home, the minibus I boarded had done a good job until we got to the Ashaiman roundabout and then, by whatever magic, passengers alighted at each bus stop. The bus stopped at more than 11 bus stops from Ashaiman roundabout till I alighted at my junction. I was so irritated. I wished I had my own car._
There are many bus stops in your life. Family, haters, new technology, religion, gossips and rumour mongers among others. While some of these bus stops may be rest stops, others are just huge waste of precious time.
You own your life, so be a private driver. The commercial driver does have a choice, passengers decide where he stops. The private driver has a choice.
You don't have to stop at every bus stop in your life. You don't have to mind everyone who talks about you. It is a waste of time, energy and your creativity.
Focus on the road, lest you experience an avertable accident.
They will say you are proud, boastful, too-knowing. They will say all manner of evil against you falsely. But haters, rumour mongers, gossips; these don't deserve your attention, don't pay them that much.
Just as you don't decide where a bus stop is situated on the road, you also don't decide where or when in life gossips and haters will attack. But just as, as a private driver, you decide which bus stop to stop at, you can decide whether you mind your haters or not.
The fact that there is a bus stop, doesn't mean you must stop. The fact that you know they are spreading lies about you doesn't mean you must mind them.
I've told you before, in this life, some of us are news makers and others are news reporters. Make the news and let them talk about it.
