Alhaji Abdul Karim Gruzah, owner of the Kumasi base King Faisal Football Club has shown his desire to contest for the GFA Presidentship position in 2019.
The portfolio became vacant after the Ex president, Kwasi Nyantakyi resigned from his post including his positions in CAF and FIFA following the Anas exposé with the Former Vice President, George Afriyie being relieved from his position after a decision taken by then Emergency Committee which happened to be the 2nd highest decision making body of the then FA.
Alhaji Gruzah in an interview with Accra base Happy FM, propounded that he will contest for the said position.
"Insha Allahu, I will contest for the GFA Presidency in 2019, I’m not joking. I will choose SWAG President Kwabena Yeboah to be my aid to help me with his big English”
The GHALCA member also stressed that he needs only 4 years to change the fortunes of Ghana Football.
“The only thing that will prevent me from contesting is sickness, just give me four years and I will turn the game for the best. I will change a lot of things when I win the seat” He reiterated.
