2018 has been a ‘promise-fulfilling’ year for NPP – Deputy Minister


The Deputy Minister for Education in charge of Technical and Vocational Training (TVET), Mrs. Barbara Asher Ayisi has disclosed that the year 2018 has been an achievable year for governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) observing government has fulfilled the numerous promises it made to the Ghanaians populace.


Mrs. Asher Ayisi who doubles as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Cape Coast North constituency strongly believes 2018 has been good per her assessment of governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s manifesto achievements vis-à-vis party’s promises made to Ghanaians.

She stated that plans are underway to upgrade all the public Technical Institutes in this country to make them world class in order to improve on teaching and learning.

At an interaction with journalists within Cape Coast at her residence including Morning Show hosts to announce her achievement as the MP for the area to the media, Mrs. Asher Ayisi said upon her assumption of office as the MP for Cape Coast North constituency, she has given out 132 jobs to the youth in areas of teaching, fire service, police, prisons and other security services among others.

This excludes 32 youth who have also benefited from scholarship out of her common fund revealing that two people from her constituency will also study abroad this year.

Through the MP’s common fund, 210 youth within her constituency were trained in entrepreneurial skills including installation, beads making, hairdressing, makeup, computer hardware and dress making to equip youth with employable and entrepreneurial skills to start their own businesses to reduce unemployment.
