Who is to Blame?

In a homework, a teacher told her pupils to state four sources of information. Being a teacher and a mother at the same time, she decided to assist her child in doing her assignment. She wrote Television, Radio, Internet and Magazines as the four sources of information. The next day, the child brought the result home and to the mother's surprise she was marked 2 out of 4. That is, she was marked down for writing Magazines and Internet. Funnily, the teacher wrote ' Pleace you should have break it down', under the work.

Angrily, the mother went to the school to find out why her child was marked down. The teacher argued that she marked her down because what the child wrote was wrong. The case was sent to the headmaster where the teacher proved her point by saying that what the student wrote wasn't what is in the book she uses. Sickening right?

This is what is actually happening in most schools in Ghana now. The teachers are polluting the young ones for no reason. Where did these young children go wrong? Who is to blame for this? Is it the teacher who passed through education but didn't let education pass through them? Or is it the educational system that forces our students to depend solely on their books and not to think outside the box. I ask again another rhetorical question that needs much meditation.

This is not a cock and bull story. Everything in this piece is the truth.
