My Time Will Come

Though it might not be easy
And might not happen quickly,
But I know for sure, that
Absolutely and definitely,
My time will come.

People will ask for new publications
When they see I have not for a while published,
They will visit my site daily
And recommend it to people,
My time will come.

Family members will start telling their friends about me
That I am their relative.
They will call to check up on me
Even though they did, just yesterday
They will share my posts
When I no more need it.
My time will come.

Friends will put me on their statuses
And on their profiles
And caption ‘He is my friend’
Or ‘You are doing good'
Even though they are those that insult me today
When I put my write ups in their groups
Or send them my posts privately,
They will share my posts then,
When I need it today.
My time will come.

I will be invited to schools and institutions
To have a pep talk with the pupils
On how I made it.
The HILLS I climbed
And the rivers I crossed.
Surely, my time will come.

I will eat 3 times daily
And be a philanthropist
To the needy,
Though I find it now, difficult to eat twice daily
And depend on alms for a living.
Tears may flow at night,
But in the morning, joy and delight.
I know, my time will come.

People will start looking for me
Though I am just a ‘nuisance’ to them today,
Because they have moved an inch,
But it might be too late by then,
Since we know our dear ones in adversity.
Most assuredly, my time will come.
