The rising star

How could they compare OUR physique to that of a donkey?
But would rather liken our melanin cover to that of a monkey?
Steal our material for making money,
Yet, we work like bees do, in producing honey.

Believe you me, in the no long distant future,
We shall erupt from the underground like a rapture,
Rowdily amassing strength and unity from this generational tenure,
And become the root of humanity one more time, but no longer than at this juncture.

The seeds of Nkrumah, Mandela, Lumumba, and the rest are being sown,
Just like those of Martin Luther King Junior has been shown,
We must no longer afford to allow our birth place to be blown.
In no distant future, we must reemerge like an Ogbanji being reborn.

The south must hold hands with the North,
The East tying the knot of unification with the west.
Well imbibed with unity of brotherliness in expectation for the best,
As against the manipulation from the west to make nothing of us, but the Worst.
